Georgia J. Bulloch, 85, Formerly Owned Brownell Pharmacy
Georgia J. Bulloch, (nee Donnelly), age 85, of Lorain, died Wednesday January 2, 2008 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Bulloch was born in Dover, Ohio on June 4, 1922 and had been a resident of Lorain since 1941.
Georgia was a 1940 graduate of Dover High School. She went on to attend classes at the Altman Hospital School of Nursing in Stark County.
Mrs. Bulloch was employed as a Pharmacy Technician for Calsins Pharmacy in Lorain. She then served as the owner of the Brownell Pharmacy, and later stepped back into the role of a Pharmacy Technician at Chronister’s Pharmacy also of Lorain.
For more than sixty years Mrs. Bulloch remained an active member of the former First United Methodist Church of Lorain as well as it successor, Cornerstone United Methodist Church. She was a member of Mary’s Circle and was also active with the Order of the Eastern Star as well as the Ladies Auxiliary of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Lorain.
She was previously active with the Lorain High School Band Boosters organization and served as coordinator of its annual fund-raising candy drive while her children were band members there.
An avid follower of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers professional sports teams, Georgia also enjoyed watching televised golf, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons George A. Bulloch of Long Lake, New York, James A. Bulloch of Amherst, Robert E. Bulloch of Elyria, and John T. Bulloch of Vermilion, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a number of nieces.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2003, by her parents George and Elizabeth (nee Boyer) Donnelly, by a brother Harold, and by a sister Catherine Weber.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 8:00 p.m. n the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Greater Victory Christian Ministries (formerly First United Methodist Church), 559 Reid Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Dale Warrick, Pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church of Elyria will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
