Rosemary Fabian, 66, Enjoyed Spending Time With Her Family

Rosemary K. "Rosie" Fabian (nee Jasensky), 66, of Lorain, died Monday January 7, 2008 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a lengthy illness.

She was born April 21, 1941 in Cleveland and grew up in Vermilion. She had resided in Lorain for the past 43 years.

Rosie graduated from Vermilion High School in 1959 and then attended Bowling Green State University's Huron Campus for one year. She graduated from the St. Joseph School of Practical Nursing in 1962 and worked as a licensed practical nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain for 5 years, retiring after being afflicted with multiple sclerosis.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years John Urban Fabian of Lorain, sons John C. Fabian of North Ridgeville, Dennis A. Fabian of Lorain and David A. Fabian of Avon, 6 grandchildren, brothers Charles M. Jasensky of Eugene, Oregon and Raymond Jason of Avon Lake and sister Nancy Denslow of Vermilion. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles M. and Marie Jasensky (nee Trefney).

The family will receive friends Friday 2-4, 7-9 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain and on Saturday from 10:30 am until the time of funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, 1412 E. 29th St., Lorain. The Rev. James Schmitz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
