Anne Stetak, 81, Along with Husband Operated Steve's Sunoco
Anne Stetak (nee Pysarchyk), 81, of Meriden, Connecticut and formerly of Lorain, died Saturday January 12, 2008 at Mid State Medical Center in Meriden, Connecticut after a sudden illness.She was born May 5, 1926 in Lorain and had resided in the Lorain area most of her life. She had moved to Meriden, Connecticut 6 months ago.
Anne graduated from Clearview High School and then went to work at Worthington Golf Ball in Elyria where she was employed for two years until she married. Along with her husband Steve, she owned and operated Steve’s Sunoco on the corner of Elyria Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard in Lorain for many years. Later she delivered real estate books to area stores for Harmon Publications.
Anne was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township and the church Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed ceramics, working puzzles and was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by her husband of 59 � years Steve T. Stetak, son Thomas Stetak of LaGrange, daughters Kathy Calvi of Meriden, Connecticut and Barbara Gheorghiu of Punta Gorda, Florida and son Steve P. Stetak of Lorain, grandchildren Stephen Stetak of Carlsbad, California and Benjamin Stetak of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her brothers John Pysarchyk, Pete Pysarchyk and Mike Pysarchyk.
The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:00 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 N. Ridge Rd., Elyria Township. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
