Beth Frasher, 49, Volunteered with Ohio Pet Placement

Beth Frasher (nee McElroy), 49, of Lorain, died Saturday January 12, 2008 in the intensive care unit at Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a short illness with cancer.

She was born June 10, 1958 in Zanesville and had resided in Lorain most of her life.

Beth attended Lorain High School and was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Lorain.

She volunteered for the Ohio Pet Placement program in Lorain and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters Ashley Frasher, Sara Frasher and Laura Frasher, all of Lorain, grandchildren Elijah Absher and Noah Absher, both of Lorain, parents Richard B. McElroy, Sr. and Ruth A. McElroy of Lorain, sisters Sherry Bandagski of South Carolina, Jane Landman of Lorain, Willa Henson of Vermilion and Crystal McElroy of Lorain, brother Richard B. McElroy of South Carolina and her companion of 14 years Ronell Fiels of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her sister Brenda Spillman in 1982.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 7:00 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Darlene Robinson, pastor of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Lorain, will officiate. Cremation will follow.
