William Tudich, 80, Owned Gulf Gas Station
William Tudich, 80 of Lorain died Thursday, January 17, 2008 in CHP Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a brief illness.
He was born December 16, 1927 in Lorain. He attended Lorain High School. H During World War II he attended the Merchant Marine Academy , in Maryland. When the war ended he went to work upon Great Lakes freighters. He Owned and operated a Gulf Gas station on Abbe Road in Sheffield. In the early 1960s He and his brother John Operated a lounge in Homestead, Florida. For Many years e repaired radios and televisions.
He enjoyed flying. He had a private pilots license, he built a Cessna Cub. He had another plain. He flew out of Long’s Airport on Leavitt Road in Lorain.
Among the survivors are his wife of 60 years Mary Tudich( Nee Useen), sons Rodger DeRubeis of Chardon and Bill Tudich of Lorain, daughter Debra L. Tudich of Vermilion; brother Paul Tudich of Airway Heights, Washington, sister Betty Woolford of Lorain; 7 grand children and one great grand daughter and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul in 1976 and Marcella (nee Fasco) in 1998 Tudich, and a brother John Tudich in 2004.
Friends may call Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral service will be Monday, January 21, 2008 at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Reverend James Schmitz, Pastor of Saint Ladislaus Catholic Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, Ohio.
