Ramon �Buggy� Alicea, 58, Loved Working on Cars

Photo of Ramon “Buggy” Alicea Ramon “Buggy” Alicea, 58, of Lorain, died Sunday, Jan. 27th, 2008, unexpectedly while visiting his nephew, Hector Guzman, in Holiday, Florida.

He was born Aug. 30th, 1949, in Coamo, Puerto Rico and moved to Lorain in 1950.

He served in the Marine Corps and worked at Lorain Ford Assembly Plant and as a mechanic.

He loved working on cars, singing and playing the guitar, visiting Florida and spending time with his family and friends. He loved and was loved by many people, he will be sorely missed! Words cannot express what this man meant to us.

Survivors include the mother of his children Dolores “Lolly” Gonzales of Lorain, his daughter Renee (Edwin) Matos of Lorain, son Ray (Heather) Alicea, daughter Natalie Alicea of Columbus; brother Adrian Alicea of Vermillion; sisters Francisca Garza of Elyria, Elena Morales of Vermillion, Maria Avilez of Puerto Rico, Felicita Garza and Catalina Soto both of Lorain. Grandchildren Devin, Danielle, Dakota and Eddie Matos, Ramon, Vincente and Guillermo Alicea all of Lorain and Azaria Montague in Columbus. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins, companion Karen Franklin of Lorain and many good friends!

He was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Evangelia (nee Cartagena) Alicea; brothers Porfilio and William Alicea and sister Cornelia Garza.

Visitation will Sat. February 2nd from 4 to 8pm and Sun. Feb 3rd from 10 until time of memorial service at 11 am at the Richard J. Reidy funeral home, 1783 East 31st St. South Lorain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family would be appreciated.
