Dorothy �Dottie� Schrock , 73, Food Service Supervisor at Grafton Correctional
Dorothy “Dottie” Schrock (nee Spell) 73 of Sheffield Township died Sunday February 17, 2008 at Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a lengthy illness.
She was born January 8, 1935 in Charleston, South Carolina and had resided in Sheffield Township since she was a youth.
Dottie worked as the food service supervisor at the Grafton Correctional Facility retiring in 2000.
She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and casino trips.
She is survived by her daughters Lunette Szymczyk of Sheffield Township and Donna Rancher of Amherst, sons Michael Schrock and Larry Schrock, both of Sheffield Township, 3 grandsons, 5 great grandchildren and sister Mrs. John (Nellie Ann) Behrens of Cherry Log, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin R. Schrock I in 1974, son Edwin R. “Bo” Schrock II in 2003, parents Lawrence W. & Nellie Mae Spell (nee Carroll) and brother Henry W. Spell.
The family will receive friends Saturday 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Bob Daugherty will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
