Estelle Alick, 46, Worked at Invacare as a seamstress for 14 years
Estelle Alcik, 46, of Lorain dies Wednesday, February 2, 2008 at her home after a sudden illness.She was born Decemember 20, 1961 in Bronx, New York and had resided in Lorain for the past 35 years.
Estelle worked as a seamstress at Invacare in Elyria for 14 years.
She was a member of the House of Praise International Church in Lorain. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, dancing, traveling and shopping. She was an avid New York Yankee fan and named her dog Jeter after her favorite player Derek Jeter.
She is survived by her parents Teodoro and Teresa Alick (nee Carrasquillo) of Lorain, brother Louis Conde of Lorain, sisters Arlene Agosto of Lorain and Ivette Plaza of Vacaville, California, stepbrothers Teodoro Otero of Puerto Rico and Bobby Otero of Louisville, Kentucky and nephews and nieces Selina, Albert, Anthony, Jacob, Julian, Andres, Joshua, Jonathan, Louis, Jr. and Harold. She was preceded in death by her aunts Maria Mediavilla, Alena Pedraza, Emiia Suarez, and Eva Velez.
The family will recieve friends Friday 2-4, at 7-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Gilbert Silva, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
