Randall ''Randy'' W. Colley, 53, Material Handler
Randall W. (Randy) Colley, 53 of Lorain died Monday, February 25, 2008 at Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a brief illness.
Mr. Colley was born in Elyria on June 20, 1954. He was a lifelong resident of this area.
He was a graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School in 1974. He served in the US Army as a E-4 during the Vietnam War era. He was stationed in Germany. He was a member of American Legion Post 30. An avid gun enthusiast, he was a member of National Rifle Association. He was also a World War II History buff and enjoyed learning about airplanes.
He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church in Sheffield.
He worked as a material handler at Genei Plastic Recycling Elyria for 3 years and prior to that worked at the American Crucible for 14 years. He also had been employed at Ceva Logistics.
He is survived by his daughter Madison A. Colley of Lorain, his mother Bertha I. (Bea) (nee Sprinkle) Colley Williams, brothers George D. (Dennis) Colley, Timothy W. (Tim) Colley both of Lorain, his fiancee Linda J. Nagy of Lorain, niece Melissa R. Colley, and nephew Dennis L. Colley.
Mr. Colley was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie L. (nee Demich) Colley in 1998, his father George J. Colley, a sister Lisa Williams, and his stepfather Ray H. Williams.
Friends may call Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio. Funeral Services will be in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 with Deacon David Lumadue of the new Haven Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be Monday, March 3, 2008 Huntington Cemetery in Huntington Township.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Madison Colley Benefit Trust at any Lorain National Bank branch.
