Regina �Gina� Roldan, 75, Worked as a housekeeper for Lorain

Photo of Regina “Gina” Roldan Regina “Gina” Roldan (nee Crespo) 75 of Lorain passed away in Community Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Roldan was born September 7, 1932 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. She moved to Lorain in 1955. During the 1980’s she worked as a housekeeper for Lorain City Schools, primarily in South Lorain schools.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain, where she was a member of the Cursillo Movement number 65 and the Sociedad De Damas Altar y Rosario. She found joy in spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed reading her bible, gardening and knitting.

She will be missed by her beloved husband of 51 years Ceferino Roldan of Lorain. She was a loving mother to her sons Edwin Roldan of Honolulu, HI, and George (Andrea), Carmelo (Elizabeth), William (Judy) and Felix Roldan all of Lorain. and to her daughter Evelyn (Hector) Roldan-Garcia of Lorain; dear sister of Mariano Crespo of New York, NY, Cano Crespo of San Lorenzo and Lilly Rodriguez of Chicago. She was a grand mother to eleven.

Mrs. Roldan was preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Maximina (nee Ruiz) Crespo, brothers Daniel, Sequel, Juan, Caco and Santos Crespo and sisters Rosa, Fina, Teja Crespo.

Her family will receive friends Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday with closing prayers at 8:15 a.m. followed by Liturgy of The Word service at 9:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. William Thaden, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
