Clara A. Bober, 92, Fisher-Fazio Grocery Store Retiree
Clara A. Bober (nee Eglinski), 92, of Lorain, died Wednesday March 19, 2008 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home after a brief illness.She was born April 30, 1915 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Clara attended Lorain High School. She worked for Fisher-Fazio Grocery Stores in the Lorain area as a Meat Wrapper for over 20 years retiring in 1972.
Clara was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local #880. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles and traveling.
Beloved mother of Lee Bober of Lorain, Karen Foil of Lorain and James Bober of Berlin Heights, grandmother of 7, step grandmother of 4, great grandmother of 11, step great grandmother of 4 and great great grandmother of 1. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Frank Bober in 2005, daughter Barbara Kosa in 2005, grandson Stephen Foil, parents Alexander and Mary Eglinski (nee Must) and 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm. The Rev. Dale Warrick, pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Elyria Township, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
