Isabelle Tarson Reynolds, 93, White Motors Office Manager
Isabelle Tarson Reynolds, age 93, of Lorain, died Monday March 31, 2008 at her residence.
She was born in Lorain on February 8, 1915 and was a graduate of Lorain High School.
Following her graduation, she moved to New York where she enrolled in Business College and followed a curriculum for office management. While residing in New York she served as a private governess.
After returning to northern Ohio, Isabelle worked for more than twenty years as an office manager for the White Motors Co. of Cleveland.
She attended Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church both in Lorain.
Her hobbies included gardening, flowers, and taking care of her pet cat named Blacky. Throughout the 1980’s, Mrs. Reynolds was a familiar face along Broadway Ave. as she was frequently seen pulling her shopping cart to Flinger’s Market or walking to and from the local banks.
Survivors include her great niece and caretaker Jennifer Tarson, sister-in-law Delcie Tarson, niece Delcie Jo France, nephew David Tarson, and numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews residing out of state.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Reynolds, by her father John Tarson, by her mother Tillie Tarson-Hein (nee Urbas), by stepfather Harry Hein, by brothers Joseph P. Tarson and Steven A. Tarson, by sisters Regina Ginny Lighfoot, Albina Bea Walls, and Florence Flo Thomas, and by nephew Steven M. Tarson.
Isabelle will also be fondly remembered by all of her caretakers including Johnny Vergara and Mona Eckenrode, and dear friend Nancy Campolo.
Friends may call on Wednesday April 9th from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:30 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Mr. Robert Dybo representing Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
