Margaret M. Cisarik, 91, Parishioner of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church

Photo of Margaret M.  Cisarik Margaret M. Cisarik (nee: Drop), age 93, of Lorain, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Kingston of Vermilion.

Mrs. Cisarik was born in Mammoth, Pennsylvania on November 1, 1914 and had been a resident of Lorain since 1929.

She was employed by the General Industries Corporation of Elyria as well as by the American Ship Building Company and the Thew Division of the Koehring Company.

She was a parishioner of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and was also a member of the Marian Guild and the Senior Sociables Club there. A member of Saint John the Baptist Lodge, her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and counted cross stitch. Additional interest included needle point and playing cards.

Survivors include her daughters Mrs. John (Eleanor) Ivan and Mrs. Robert (Joan) Imbrogno both of Lorain, eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren, sister Helen Evans of Parma, brothers Steven and John Drop both of Lorain, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years Joseph in 1973, by her parents Steve and Anna (nee: Vasilik) Drop, by her infant sister Anna Drop, by granddaughter Betty Ann Ivan, by great grandson Jacob Garza, by sisters Mary Drop Kavanah, Veronica Drop Sadowski-Nowicki, and by brothers Andrew, Joseph, and Paul.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. by the officers and members of the Saint Anthony Marian Guild.

Funeral services will be Monday beginning with closing prayers offered at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by the celebration of her funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 East Erie Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv., Pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
