Elizabeth A. "Betty" Herron, 73, Founding Member the Lobos Woman's Social Club
Elizabeth A. Betty Herron, (nee Nally), age 73, of Lorain, died Tuesday May 27, 2008 at Community Regional Medical Center following an extended battle with heart and lung disease.Betty was born in Newton, Massachusetts on February 12, 1935 and had been a resident of Lorain for the past fifty years after relocating here with her husband who was employed by the Ford Motor Company’s Lorain Assembly Plant.
She was employed in the produce departments of Pic-N-Pay, Meyer Goldberg Grocery, and the Vermilion Farm Market, retiring in 1985. Mrs. Herron was the founding member the Lobos Woman’s Social Club.
She is survived by her husband of fifty years John, daughters Gail Stephanchick of Lorain and Tracy Toth of LaGrange, Kentucky, grandsons Jonathon Stephanchick and Michael Toth, granddaughters Jessica Stephanchick and Kaitlyn Toth, by brothers Dennis and James Nally both of Massachusetts, and by sisters Barbara Volta and Patricia Licciardi also residing in Massachusetts.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dennis and Dorothy (nee Hohman) Nally, by brothers Donald, John, Thomas, Richard, William, and Robert Nally, and by a sister Cissy.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 8:00 p.m.in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Kevin Saylor, Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to a charity of the donor's choosing.
