Mary Lydia Bacher, 81, Lifetime Member of VFW Post 451 Aux.
Mary Lydia Bacher (nee Gonzales), 81 of Lorain, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the New Life Hospice at St. Joseph following a brief illness.
Mrs. Bacher was born in Donna, Texas on February 27, 1927, the daughter of the late Juan and San Juanita (Barrera) Gonzales.
She was a member of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church in Lorain, Lifetime member of VFW Post 451 Aux., American Legion Post 30 Aux, and the Moose Club.
She was a retired sales associate for the May Company, Sheffield Center for 30 years. Mrs. Bacher enjoyed reading and gardening.
She is survived by her sons Richard C. Bacher of Lorain, John Bacher of Tucson, AR. and 2 grandchildren.
Mrs. Bacher is preceded in death by her husband Clarence in 2002, one brother and one sister.
Friends may call on Friday May 30, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-8:30 p.m. at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain where funeral services will follow at 8:30 p.m. with Rev. Darlene Robinson, co-pastor of the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be later in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Seville, OH.
