Betty Bennett, 82, Helped Her Husband Operate Bennett Fish
Betty Bennett (nee: Fracchione), 82, of Lorain, died Saturday May 31, 2008 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a short illness.She was born November 4, 1925 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Betty helped her husband James operate Bennett Fish in Lorain. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed weaving, knitting, sewing and charcoal art.
She is survived by her sons Norman Bennett of Rocky River, Joseph Bennett of Elyria, Jerry Bennett of Lorain and Christopher Bennett of Lorain and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James P. Bennett, son Richard Bennett, parents Joseph & Rose Fracchione (nee: Capasso), brothers Frank Fracchione, Ralph Fracchione and Paul Fracchione and sisters Jeanette Fracchione and Adeline Fracchione.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Joseph West, OFM Conv, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
