Mildred M. Campana, 94, Enjoyed Gardening

Photo of Mildred M.  Campana Mildred M. Campana (nee Badanek), 94, of Lorain, died Sunday, June 15, 2008 in the medical intensive care unit at Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain.

She was born April 24, 1914 in Robyville, Ohio and had resided in Lorain most of her life.

Mildred was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her daughters Mrs. William (Harriet) Kidney of Parma Heights, Joann Bentley of Mentor and Mary Anne Campana of Cincinnati, son Julius “Butch” Campana of Brunswick Hills, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and sisters Rose and Carol, both of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Julius Campana in 1997, parents Joseph & Anna Badanek (nee Pribanic) and many brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Chuck Henkle OFM Conv., associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
