Pablo C. Flores, 81, Active Member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain

Photo of Pablo C.  Flores Pablo C. Flores 81, of Lorain died Wednesday July, 9, 2008 in Lake Pointe Health Care, Lorain following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 1, 1927 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain in 1950.

Mr. Flores retired in 1989 as a shipping inspector for U. S. Steel, Lorain. He worked there for 39 years.

He was an active member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. He played his guitar in the choir band and was a member of the Cursillo Movement. He was also a member of the United Steel Workers Local 1104, and the Knights of Columbus, Lorain. He lived life to his fullest. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, raising his chickens, playing his guitar and accordion. He especially enjoyed cooking out and picnicking with his family.

He will be missed by his family, including his sons Paul (Barb) Flores of Elyria, Dennis Flores and John Flores both Lorain; daughters Mary Flores of Lorain and Grace Flores–Carlson of North Ridgeville; granddaughters Jeanette Carlson of Pittsburg, PA, Fayanna Flores of Put In Bay and Catlin Flores of Elyria; brothers Juan, Salvador, Ismael, George and Jose Flores all of Puerto Rico , sisters Maria, Teresa and Rose Flores all of Puerto Rico

He is preceded in death by his parents Carmelo and Carmen (nee Carrion) Flores; a sister Gloria Flores and a brother Carmelo Flores, Jr.

His family will receive friends Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday, July 14, 2008 with closing prayers in the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave. Lorain. The Rev. Fr. William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
