Berneice Evelyn Todd , 63, Life-long Residence of Lorain County
Berneice Evelyn Todd (nee Brown), 63 of Sheffield Village, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a lengthy struggle with cancer.Berneice was born June 24, 1945 at her home in Lorain and was a life long residence of Lorain County.
She worked for Midway Oh Boy for over 23 years and was one of the innovators of the Bernie Burger; she also worked at Elyria Maintenance, Hazel’s Restaurant, and the Turnpike Plaza. Berneice was a loving wife, Aunt, sister and friend and will be greatly missed. Although, everyone will have fond memories of her spending time with family and friends, camping, traveling, baking cookies and pies, and knitting.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years Roy Todd of Sheffield Village, sisters; Eleanor Benner, Esther Ford, and Helen Wittreich all of Elyria, and Jane Ison of Lorain, brother; Frank Brown of Lorain, three step children, three grand children and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Thelma (nee Kane) Brown, brothers; Ralph, Raymond, Charles, and Gerald Brown.
The family will receive friends Tuesday July 15, 2008 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. till the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Wyers Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Rd. in Sheffield Twp.
The Reverend Jay Roller Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Lorain will officiate.
Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst.
