Daniel J. Sinibaldi, 81, Invacare Retiree
Daniel J. Sinibaldi, 81, of Lorain, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a brief illness.He was born December 3, 1926 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Dan served with the US Army during World War II. He received the Army Occupation Medal (Germany), the WWII Victory Ribbon and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon.
Dan worked as an inspector at Fruehauf Trailer in Avon Lake, Tappan Industries (later Smith-Jones) and Invacare in Elyria before retiring.
He enjoyed crossword puzzles and league bowling.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Evelyn Sinibaldi (nee Hein), son David Sinibaldi and his wife Peggy of Amherst, grandsons Jonathan Sinabaldi of Amherst, Jeff Harrell of Florida and David Harrell of Lorain, great grandchildren Tristan Harrell of Lorain and Ethan Harrell of Florida and brother Remo Epifano and his wife Marie of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his parents Dan Sinibaldi and Anna Marie (nee Carroni) and sister Ann Thwaite.
The family will receive friends Friday 7-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township where the Disabled American Veterans Louis Paul Proy Chapter #20 of Lorain will conduct military honors.
