Antonio Morell, 84, Member of Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer in Lorain
Antonio Morell, 84 of Lorain, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a brief illness.
He was born June 30, 1924 in Camuy, Puerto Rico. He moved here in 1950. In 1986, he returned home for 12 years and came back to Lorain in 1998.
Mr. Morell retired as an oilier in 1983 from the Ford Brookpark Casting Plant. He worked there for 33 Years.
He was a member of Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, Lorain and the United Auto Workers Local 1250, Brookpark. He enjoyed his family, reading his Bible, gardening, walking and the Yankees and Indians baseball.
Among the survivors are his wife of 62 years Cruz Maria Morell (nee Ramos); sons Tony Morell of Parish, FL, Miguel and Arvin Morell both of Amherst, Jose Morell of Lorain and Ray Morell of Sparks, NV; a daughter Doris Hernandez of Amherst, 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and a sister Mercedes Gonzalez of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by parents Eloy and Seferina (nee Lopez) Morell, a brother Luis Morell Lopez and a sister Amelia Issaria.
Friends may call Friday, August 8, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Friends may also call Saturday, August 9, 2008 in the Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, East 36th Street, and Globe Ave. Lorain from 9:00 Am Until time of Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Rogelio Rivera, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
