Margaret A. Bodnar, 91, Member of St. Vincent DePaul Church
Margaret A. Bodnar, (nee Betzel), 91 of Sheffield Village, died Wednesday, August 11, 2008 following a brief illness.She was born August 6, 1917 in Lorain. She lived most of her life in Elyria Township. In 1988, she moved to Sheffield Village.
She was a home maker and mother. Mrs. Bodnar was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church, Elyria Township. And a past member of the church’s Altar and Rosary Society.
Among the survivors are her sons, Arthur Bodnar of Lorain, Bert Bodnar of Mukwonago, Wis., Frank Bodnar of Sheffield Village and Kenneth Bodnar of Saginaw, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, 18 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Bert who died in 1999; her parents Frank and Mary (nee Yuhas) Betzel; brothers John, Louis, Frank and William Betzel and a sister Irene Takacs.
Friends may call Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain; where closing prayers will be Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 14295 North Ridge Road East, Elyria Township. Rev. Fr. Gaetano Menegatto of St Leonard’s, Avon will officiate.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
