Paul L. Coleman, 59, President of Lorain County RC Club, Ford Retiree
Paul L. Coleman, 59, of Lorain, died Friday September 5, 2008 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain.
He was born May 2, 1949 in Spangler, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain since 1952.
Paul graduated from Admiral King High School in Lorain in 1968. He served with the US Army in the Medivac Dustoff during the Vietnam War from 1968-1971.
Paul worked at the Ford Assembly Plant in Lorain for 34 years retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain and a member and president of the Lorain County RC Club.
He enjoyed building and flying radio controlled airplanes and helicopters. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed playing the guitar and traveling.
He is survived by his wife or 31 years Linda Coleman (nee Stark) of Lorain, children Chad Coleman of Lorain, Josh Coleman of Sheffield Lake, Robert Fullerton and wife Marge of Paris, Illinois and Tracy Paytosh of Lorain, several grandchildren and sister Helen Lyons of Vermilion. He was preceded in death by his sons Jason Coleman and Richard Fullerton in 2008, parents Paul Coleman and Christina Coleman (nee Hesse) and brothers Lee Coleman and Gary Coleman.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4, 7-9 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Chuck Henkle, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain where the Disabled American Veterans Louis Paul Proy Chapter #20 of Lorain will conduct military honors.
