Myrtle Louise DeWitt, 84, Enjoyed Roller Skating & Crocheting
Myrtle Louise DeWitt (nee Hearring), 84 of Vermilion, died Monday, September 8, 2008 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph after a short illness.She was born September 18, 1923 in Miami, Florida and has been a Vermilion resident since 1961.
Myrtle had enjoyed roller skating and crocheting.
Survivors include her sons: Wesley and Barbara DeWitt, Jr. of Oberlin; Dennis and Mary-Lou DeWitt of Huron; and Richard and Susan DeWitt of Amherst, 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sisters Doris Harp and Marie Starr of Defiance.
Preceding her in death were her husband Wesley DeWitt, Sr. in 2004, parents, William and Maggie (nee Roberts) Hearring, great granddaughter, Elizabeth Paige Hall in 1995; great grandson Gary Loftis III in 1992 and sisters, Virginia Munch and Katharine Martin.
Private family services will be held.
