Betty L. Taylor, 78, Avid Bingo Player

Betty L. Taylor (nee Allison), 78 of Vermilion, died Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Community Health Partners in Lorain following a short illness.

She was born July 30, 1930 in Raleigh, West Virginia and had lived in Vermilion most of her life. She attended the Vermilion local schools and later was a cafeteria worker for 25 years in the Vermilion school district.

She attended the Vermilion Evangelical & Reformed Church and was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Taylor and Tracie Taylor, both of Vermilion; son, Larry A. (Jamie) Taylor of Vermilion; 3 grandchildren, Stefanie, Samantha and Stacie Taylor and 4 great-grandchildren, Travis, Michael, Emalee and Hailee; sisters, Lenore Steffen of Toledo and Evelyn Gusik of Cleveland; brother, Clarence Allison of Amherst.

She was preceded-in-death by her husband, Albert J. Taylor in 2004, parents, Raleigh and Ella (nee Turner) Allison, sister, Daisy and brother, Robert.

Friends may call Monday, September 29, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 11:00 am. The Reverend Nick Cacciatore, pastor of the Vermilion E&R Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
