Charlotte Michalski, 74, St. Joseph Hospital Nurse's Aide
Charlotte Michalski, (nee Misner), age 74, of Elyria Township, died Sunday September 28th, 2008 at the Lake Pointe Health Center in Lorain following an extended illness.Born November 6, 1933, Mrs. Michalski was a 1951 graduate of Lorain Saint Mary’s High School. Following her graduation she joined Saint Joseph’s Hospital where she served as a Nurse’s Aide from 1951 through 1980.
Currently a parishioner of Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria, Charlotte was a former parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. Regarded as a devout fan of the Cleveland Indians, she had been a resident of the Ohio Extended Care Center / Lake Pointe Health Center for the past thirteen years. While there, she enjoyed participating in bingo games and craft sessions.
She is survived by her daughter Audrey Kastl (Cliff) of Elyria Township, granddaughter Abby Borer (Jeremiah) of Lagrange, grandson Adam Kastl of Elyria Township, brother-in-law Andrew Lechner residing in the state of Washington, and brother-in-law Leonard Michalski (Veronica) of Lorain.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1960, by her parents John and Bertha (nee Rysz) Misner, and by her sister Jean Lechner in 2006.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral services at 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Albert Krupp, Pastor of Saint Agnes Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
