George Arthur Gullett, 71, Passion for Music

George Arthur Gullett, 71 of Vermilion, died Monday, October 6, 2008 at his home, after a sudden illness.

He was born June 5, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been a Vermilion resident since 1969 moving from Elyria.

He graduated from Danville High School in 1956 and served in United States Air Force from 1956 to 1958.

Mr. Gullett worked at Nordson Corporation in Amherst, Ohio for 35 years, retiring in 1999.

He had a passion for music, especially classic rock. He enjoyed dancing, target practicing and his cats.

He is survived by his daughters, Laura Gullett of Cleveland, and Kathy (Chris) Szot of Midland, VA, a son, Steven (Angel) Gullett of Los Angeles, CA, 2 brothers, Floyd W. Gullett, Jr, and Robert L. Gullett both of Grafton, a sister, Shirley Fyffe of Elyria and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Floyd William Sr. and Pauline L. (nee Bassett) Gullett.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 10, 2008 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10.30 am. Interment will follow in Wellington Union Cemetery.
