Robert S. Andrews, 83, WWII Army Veteran
Robert S. Andrews, 83 of Lorain, died Monday, October 13, 2008 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.Mr. Andrews was born July 6, 1925 in Berea, and lived most of his life in Lorain.
He worked as a Stationery Engineer for the Lorain City Schools. Prior to that, he drove a truck for Sealtest Ice Cream Co.
He was a WW2 Army Veteran. He belonged to the VFW, and the Singles Club.
Mr. Andrews is survived by a daughter Nancy Dickey of Sheffield Village, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. His brothers Joe Andrews of Elyria, and Stan Andrews of North Royalton.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marcia Andrews in 1972, a step-son Karl David Sullivan, and brothers Leonard and Ed Andrews, and his parents Ignatius and Frances Andzejewski.
Friends may call Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be there Friday at 11 AM. Rev. Richard Henry will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 451 and the American Legion Post 30 combined unit.
