Eleanor H. Labis, 82, Avid Cleveland Browns Fan

Photo of Eleanor H. Labis Eleanor H. Labis (nee Lopatkovich), 82, of Lorain, died Monday October 20, 2008 in her home after a long illness.

She was born July 26, 1926 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain resident.

Eleanor graduated from Lorain High School. She was a pianist for the Miss Lilly School of Dancing. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan and bowler and enjoyed cross-stitch and jigsaw puzzles. For many years Eleanor was a caregiver for her husband Frank.

She is survived by her sons Frank J. Labis of Lorain and Andrew P. Labis of Aurora, Illinois, daughter Mrs. Michael (Janet) Krupp of Spring, Texas and grandchildren Michael Krupp and Jennifer Krupp.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Labis on January 12, 2008, parents Frank and Bertha Lopatkovich (nee Schaier), sister Lily Lopatkovich and brother Edward Lopatkovich.

Private family funeral services were held Friday at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
