Domingo Palos, 79, Landscaper

Photo of Domingo Palos Domingo Palos, 79, of Lorain passed away Friday, November 14, 2008 in his home, with his family.

He was born April 10, 1929 in Houston, Texas. He came to Lorain in 1943, and had been a resident since then.

Mr. Palos retired in 1988 from the Blast Furnace of U. S. Steel, Lorain. He worked there for 30 Years. After his retirement he became a self employed landscaper. He was a member of Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer M. I., Lorain. He was also a member of the United Steel workers Union Local 1104 of Lorain. Mr. Palos enjoyed gardening, especially growing peppers and tomatoes. He liked to feed the squirrels and birds.

He will be missed by his wife of 54 years Sally Ann Palos (nee Cantu), his sons Billy and Freddy Palos both of Elyria, Ronny Palos of Cleveland, Domingo and Tommy Palos both of Lorain and Clarence Palos of Arizona; daughters Sharon Ware, and Patty and Pricilla Palos all of Lorain; brothers Joseph Palos of Oberlin, and Ernesto and Eddy Palos both of Chicago; sisters Jessie Palos of Chicago, Juanita Palos of Puerto Rico and Analita Palos of Texas, 30 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Angel and Orica Palos, a son Johnny Palos, brothers Andres Palos and Phillip Palos, and a sister Mary Palos.

His family will receive friends Tues., November 18 from 4:00 until time of funeral service at 7:00 PM in Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer M. I., Lorain, 3660 Globe Avenue (at East 36 the Street), Lorain, Ohio.
