Enrique A. Perez, 80, Loved Music and Singing

He was born July 15, 1928 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. He and his wife moved to New York City in 1951 and then to Lorain in 1974. He served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War.

Enrique retired from the City of Lorain in 1990. He had worked at the Parks and Water Departments for 15 years.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. He was the treasurer of the Sacred Heart Credit Union for many years. He loved music, singing and being around family and friends.

Enrique is survived by his wife of 57 years Antonia Perez (nee Semidey); son Henry A. Perez and his wife Ellen Perez (nee Teleha).

He was preceded in death by his parents Julio and Josepha (nee Martinez) Perez; his brother Ismael Perez and his sister Josephita Flores.

His family will receive friends Friday, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164. Funeral Services will be Saturday, with closing prayers at the funeral home at 10:45 a.m., then Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave. Lorain. Rev. Fr. Albert A. Krupp, pastor of St. Agnes Church Elyria will officiate.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, where the Disabled American Veterans, Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20 will provide military honors.
