Edwin C. Saegert, 64, Enjoyed Hunting and Fishing
Edwin C. Saegert, Sr., 64 of Lorain died on Wednesday morning, November 19, 2008 after a long illness.Mr. Saegert was born in Amherst, Ohio on October 13, 1944, the son of the late Carl A. Saegert and Florence B. (nee White) Saegert Yepko.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Ford Motor Co. in Lorain after 30 years of service. He was a member of the UAW 425, the Bow & Barrel Archery Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Saegert is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marilyn J. " Minnie" Saegert (nee Cataldo), sons Ronald C. (Barbara) Saegert of Wakeman, Edwin C. (Terri) Saegert, Jr. of Lorain, grandchildren Megan B. Saegert, Caitlyn J. Schnur, Mason C. Saegert, Matthew R Saegert, Danielle C. Saegert, brothers James (Goldie) Saegert of Lorain, Dale (Gerri) Saegert of Sheffield Village, Eugene (Tanya) Saegert of Vermilion, aunt Clara White of Lorain and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father George Yepko, sister Carol Saegert and a brother Carl A Saegert Sr.
Friends may call Saturday, November 22, 2008 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorian, Ohio 44052. Father Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor of the church of St. Peter is officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Lorain, OH.
