Thomas P. Dlugos, 59, Construction Worker
Thomas P. Dlugos, 59, of Vermilion, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Community Health Partners West, Lorain.He was born May 22, 1949 in Lorain and was a life long resident of Vermilion.
He worked as a construction worker for Erie Blacktop. He had been self employed at one time and had also worked for Kessler Excavating and the City of Vermilion Water Department.
He was a member of the Laborers Union, Sandusky and enjoyed working on classic street rods, had enjoyed riding dirt bikes and traveling. He co-founded the Mill Hollow Lorain County Metro Parks Car Show.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Diane (nee Linhart); step-daughters, Juli (Dennis) Cook of Portland, Oregon, and Shelley Jones of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Tiffany Jones, Craig Snell, and Andre Cook; sisters, Nancy Forbush of Wellington, and Rita Hines of Wellington; brothers, Dale Dlugos of Las Vegas, and Timothy Dlugos of San Diego, CA and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert and Ruth (nee Lang) Dlugos.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 1, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion Wally Metter will officiate.
