Elieser Rosa, 58, Loved Spending Time with Grandchildren

Photo of Elieser Rosa Elieser Rosa, 58, of Lorain, passed away on December 7, 2008 in E.M.H. Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a lengthy illness.

He was born June 26, 1950 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and raised in Lorain. He graduated Admiral King High School in 1968.

Elieser worked at US Steel, Lorain for many years, and then as a security guard until 2004. He was actively involved in his daughters' sports teams and was their coach for Girl Scout softball for several seasons. He made friends wherever he went, and enjoyed working outdoors in the yard. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his grandchildren Robert Torres, age 3 and Amaya Torres, age 1.

Also surviving are ex-wife, Miriam Rosa (nee Cortes) of Lorain, wife-separated Lilly Rosa (nee Hurst) of Elyria, daughters, Alexandria Rosa and Amanda Cruz (Rosa), sisters Augustina Cortes, Celia Hernandez all of Lorain, 12 nieces and nephews, 11 grandnieces and nephews, and 6 great grandnieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Felipe and Maria (nee Santiago) Rosa, brothers Lorenzo Rosa and Herman "Tito" Cruz, and nephew Wilfredo Cortes.
