Eileen K. Shawver, 88, Enjoyed Traveling

Born July 8, 1920 in Lorain, she was a lifelong resident.

Mrs. Shawver was a 1938 graduate of Clearview High School. She belonged to Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church (formerly Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church), also their Anna Circle.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spent winter months in Florida after retirement. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Merl. Sons Bob D. of Pinellas, FL, James E. (Helen) of Lorain, Kenneth C. (Pegi) of Lorain, Richard (Phyllis) of Flint TX, Fredrick M. of Lorain, Jack A. (Karen) of Lorain, Dennis L. (Karen) of Lorain Merl T. of Healdton, OK, Douglas R. of and Lorain. Daughters Merleen Kampf of Peoria, AZ, Marilyn S. Poltrone of Lorain, and Penelope L. Shawver of Elyria. 29 grandchildren, and 41 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Omar and Dora (Gibson) Beal, sisters Frances Wolf, Ruth Erdei, and Lola Lesiesky, and brothers Paul and Richard Beal.

Friends may call Wednesday from 6 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8 p.m. at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Rev. Greg Sellers will officiate.
