Josephine M. Bennett, 78, Avid Cleveland Indian's Fan

She was born Oct 27, 1930. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1948. She lived in Grafton until 1961 when she moved to Lorain.

She began working at the tender age of 14 as a clerk at Fisher Foods. Later as secretary for Grafton School. She then stayed at home for many years to be a wife and raise a family. Going back to work in 1977 at Lorain Products where she retired in 1995 after 18 years of service.

Josephine always put her family first. She enjoyed housekeeping, working in her yard and spending time with her family and friends. She was a Cleveland Indians fan, she enjoyed watching and going to the games.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter and son-in- law Amy and John Kowalczyk and brother Leonard Boise.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Harold "Jim" Bennett in 1974 and son Gary last November, brothers Stanley Markus and Chester Markus, her parents Lee and Sarah Boise.

His family will receive friends Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, (440) 277-8164. Her funeral service will be in the funeral Monday. 10:30 a.m.. Rev Dale Warwick, pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, Elyria will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
