Billy Ray Hall, 66, Local #18 Operating Engineers Member

Photo of Billy Ray Hall Billy Ray Hall, 66, of Milan Township, died Saturday Jan. 3, 2009 at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born Jan. 21, 1942 in Kentucky and had resided in Milan Township for the past 11 years. He had lived in Lorain most of his life.

Billy was a member of Local #18 Operating Engineers and primarily worked for Charles Akers Construction. He enjoyed bowling, gardening and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years Juanita Hall (nee Kidd), children Timothy Hall of Lorain, Thomas Hall of Sheffield, Edwin Hall of Virginia and Louise Shopoff (Dan) of Lorain, stepson Eddie Cook (JoAnn) of Sandusky, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brother Kelly Hall of Pennsylvania and sister Dolores Smania of Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Hall (nee Hildebrandt), parents Shadrick & Aretta Hall (nee Saunders) and infant sister Lorraine Hall.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-9 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Dan Clouse, pastor of North Fairfield House of Prayer, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
