Joseph Joe Zadravec Jr., 56, Truck Driver
Joseph Joe Zadravec, Jr., 56, of Birmingham, died on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 at his home following a 5-month battle with cancer.
He was born on Jan. 2, 1953 in Youngstown and has lived in the Vermilion and Lorain area most of his life, most recently in Birmingham.
He served in the United States Army from 1977-1980. He has been a truck driver for the past 7 years, driving for Plogger Trucking for 5 years. He had previously worked for Industrial Nut in Sandusky.
He enjoyed working in the garage at home with his best friend, Curt Casper, Uncle Ugene and sons-in-law Jeff Cline and Rod Gillen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Marilyn A. (nee Thiessen) Zadravec; daughters, Michelle L. Zadravec and Deana M. Cline, both of Vermilion and Stephanie J. Zadravec of Birmingham; grandchildren, Michael, Devin, Amber, Quentin, Amy, Wyatt, Aiden, Ashley (Olivia) and Savannah; sisters, Linda Flesch and Barb Baker, both of Youngstown; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded-in-death by his father, Joseph Joe Zadravec, mother, June Marie Musser, nephew, James and grandparents.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been under the direction of Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain.
