Caleb Scott James, 19, Avid Sports Fan
Caleb Scott James, age 19, of Henrietta Township, died unexpectedly on Thursday Jan. 15, 2009 due to complications of congestive heart Failure.
Caleb was born on April 26, 1989 and attended both Brookside and Admiral King High Schools and earned his G.E.D. prior to his scheduled date of graduation. He was looking forward to attending Lorain County Community College. He would have undoubtedly been a success in his chosen field.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing Halo 3 on-line with his friends. He was also an accomplished pool player who enjoyed playing cards with a praticular fondness for Texas Hold Em. He also enjoyed movies especially if they had a thought-provoking twist at the end. His favorite television shows were Prison Break and House. He loved his three dogs Luigi, Arnold and Wilbur.
Caleb was prominent in several social circles and was truly loved by his family and friends. He will forever be remembered as a good man.
He is survived by his mother Victoria "Vickie" James, by his sister Allie Reaser, and by his grandparents Alexandria and Bruno Meade, and Donald and Paula James. He was currently residing with his Aunt Dawnie, uncle Jim, and Cousin Jimmy Parker.
He was preceeded in death by his great grandmother Sophia Kulas and his great grandfather Joseph Kulas.
Friends will be received Sunday Jan. 18th from 1 p.m. until time of funeral services at 3 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend David A. Novak, Pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Caleb Scott James Memorial Fund in care of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel.
