Sonya L. "Sam" Weber, 70, Loved to Cook

She was born Nov. 3, 1938 in Lodi, Ohio. She was raised in Spencer, Ohio and was a graduate of Spencer High School class of 1957. In the early 1960’s she moved to Medina and moved to Lorain in the 1970’s. She worked as a mixologist for several Lorain clubs.
Sam was a cancer survivor, who, loved to cook, and watch reality television. She was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.
Among the survivors are her daughters Shirley (Bill) Sexton of Sullivan and Denise (Don) Schindelholtz of North Carolina; brother Carl Stuart of Spencer; sisters Anna (Bud) Tobias of Elyria and Betty (Joseph) Farley of Litchfield; grandchildren Tiffany, Tim, Tyler, Travis, And Trent Sexton, Jennifer Wagner and adopted grand daughter Darian Decarlo; many nieces and nephews and dear friends Joyce and Gary Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Eleanor (nee Barone) Stuart and a nephew Michael W. Giar.
Friends may call Thursday, Jan. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164. Where the funeral service will be Friday, Jan 30 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Dale Warwick, Pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Spencer Cemetery, Spencer.
