Dorothy "Dottie" E. Thoms, 66, Enjoyed Cooking and Reading
Dorothy "Dottie" E. Thoms (nee Wiencke), 66 of Vermilion, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 in Community Health Partners, Lorain after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 7, 1942 in Lorain and has been a life long Vermilion resident.
She was a member of the VFW Post #7576, Vermilion and the Eagles Club, Huron. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, bird watching, and reading.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Tom Rowe of Vermilion, sons, Kenneth Keller and Thor Tallman of Vermilion; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Sartor of Huron; and brothers, Gary Wiencke of Lorain and Chris Wiencke of Norwalk.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Calvin W. Thoms in 1997, and parents, Ellsworth and Gladys (nee Pember) Wiencke.
Private services will be held.
