John L. McDougal, Jr., 77, Enjoyed Hunting and Gardening
John L. McDougal, Jr., 77, of Amherst, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009 at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 30, 1931 in Spraggs, PA and had lived in Lorain and Vermilion prior to moving to Amherst in 1997.
He worked as a fitter for Ford Motor Co., Lorain retiring in 1995 after 29 years.
He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #425, Lorain and enjoyed hunting and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 9 years, Heather (nee Weber) McDougal; daughters: Kathy Ann Maziar, Trina Joan Balzer, Robin (Don) Corrine Williams, Sharon Kaye McDougal, Karen Faye (Michael) Weekley, Shannon Leah McDougal all of Lorain; sons: Melvin Douglas McDougal, Charles David McDougal of Mansfield, Jeffrey Howard McDougal of Marion, OH, Terry Lee McDougal of Cleveland; 37 grandchildren; and 44 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John Lee and Leona (nee Knight) McDougal; 3 brothers, Furman, James and William McDougal and a great grand child, Jason McDougal.
Private services will be held.
