Emily Marie Schmidt, 57, Loved Animals
Emily Marie Schmidt (nee Osiek), 57 of Vermilion, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009 in Community Health Partners, Lorain after a sudden illness.
She was born Dec. 27, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio and has been a Vermilion area resident for the past 16 years moving from Lakewood.
She cleaned Key Bank, Vermilion and had worked in the kitchen at The Inn at Chapel Creek, Vermilion. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her granddaughter, Annabella and she loved animals.
Emily is survived by her husband of 16 years, Mark Schmidt, 1 son, Eric Osiek of Vermilion; daughter, Lisa Osiek of Vermilion: granddaughter, Annabella Osiek; 2 brothers, Kenneth Osiek of Brunswick, and David Osiek of River Oaks, TX and a sister, Kristina Verlinden.
Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Louise (nee Gadke) Osiek.
Friends may call Thursday Feb. 12, 2009 from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH. Matthew Humphrey, Life Celebrant, will officiate.
