Jennings R. Griffith, 76, Enjoyed Hunting and Fishing

He was born May 14, 1932 in Elkins, West Virginia and has lived in Lorain since 1955.
He was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1953-1955.
Jennings owned and operated Griffco Painting for many years, and had also worked at Ford Motor Company, US Steel and the Thew Shovel Company. He was an active member of the Sheffield Church of God and volunteered in various church ministries. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting and traveling.
He is survived by his daughters, Debra (Robert) Berki of Lorain, Sandra (Drew) Frankel of Westlake, Teresa (Walter) Dragonetti of Elyria and Denise (Frank) Corcino of Sheffield Township; grandchildren, Melissa, Ashley, Nick, Antone, Jared and Richard and a great-granddaughter, Cecilia; sister, Sue Knight of Stow and brothers, Glenn and Sam, both of Lorain and Don of Elkins, WV.
He was preceded-in-death by his wife, Alma Lee (nee Hall) Griffith, parents, Charlie and Marie (nee Hyre) Griffith, sisters, Virginia Griffith and Jean Rowan and brothers, Richard and Pete Griffith.
Friends may call on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Sheffield Church of God, 2280 Abbe Road, Sheffield Lake. Pastor Mark Leonhardt and Associate Pastor Jim Shaffer will officiate. Internment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
