Marlene Koscielski, 55, Enjoyed Gardening and Toll Painting

She was born Dec. 14, 1953 in Elyria and has lived in Lorain for the past 25 years, moving from Grafton.
Marlene had worked as a barmaid at the United Polish Club and the All Nations Social Club, both in Lorain. She was an auxillary member of the American Legion Post 30 in Lorain. She enjoyed gardening, toll painting and spending time with her grandson.
She is survived by her son, Scott Koscielski of Lorain, grandson, Joshua Minnick; sisters, Karen (James) Sigman of Vermilion, Sharon (Joseph) Foote of Elyria, Charlene Martin of Brookpark and Janet Weigle of Olmstead Falls; brother, Russell Strait of Olmstead Falls.
She was preceded-in-death by her parents, Russell and Mildred (nee Mitchell) Strait.
Friends may call Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at 1 p.m. Reverend Jim Peter will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Marlene Koscielski Memorial Fund, c/o First Merit Bank.
