Gary George Greenoe, 63, Enjoyed Time with Family & Friends

Gary George “Gig” Greenoe, 63, of Elyria, died Thursday Feb. 12, 2009 at his home after a sudden illness.

He was born Feb. 7, 1946 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain/Sheffield Lake resident.

Gary was a 1966 graduate of Brookside High School in Sheffield. He worked at Vocational Guidance Services in Elyria as the Head Custodian and Custodial Trainer for 7 years.

Gary enjoyed being with his family and friends, fishing and spending time with his good friends, Geno and Willie. He will be loved and missed by all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his brothers Dennis K. Davis of Middleburg Heights and Randy B. Greenoe of Amherst, sisters Linda K. Urig of Collins, Sandra J. Dalzell of Amherst, Fern E. Bailey of Concord, North Carolina, Gail L. Parker of Roscoe, Illinois and Kimberly S. McCray of Sheffield Village and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents George V. Greenoe in 2003, Betty J. Greenoe (nee Stutt-Greenoe) in 2002 and brother Richard A. Greenoe in 2001.

A graveside funeral service will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, 640 N. Ridge Rd., Lorain. The Rev. Bob Daugherty will officiate.
