Juanita Rios Tirado, 71, Enjoyed Singing Songs of Praise

She was born June 2, 1937 in Rio Piedras, San Juan, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1955.
Mrs. Tirado was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Church of God, Lorain and the church’s Sociedad de Damas. She was a Christian woman with a happy and contented disposition. She enjoyed singing songs of praise and cooking island dishes.
She will be missed by her family, including her sons Robert, Jr. and William Tirado both of Lancing, Mich., Aldolfo (Lorri) Tirado of Newport, N. Carolina, Ambrosio Tirado and Juan Serrano both of Chicago, Blas Tirado of Leesburg, Fla.; daughters Aida Tirado and Olalia Tirado both of Lorain, Raquel (Alberto) Barrientoz of Lancing, Mich. Carmen Rodriguez of Ft. Meyers, Fla. and Miriam Vazquez of Orlando, Fla.; Brothers Pedro Rios of Lorain, William and George Rios both of Rio Piedras; sisters Nelly Rios, Aisa and Evelyn Rios Rojas both Rio Piedras, Olga Rios Rojas of Philadelphia, Penn. and Benita Rios (Ismael) Stelaza of San Juan, 37 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 Years Roberto B. Tirado in 1999, her parents Ambrosio Rios and Celia Olivo, step mother Virginia Rojas and a sister Juanita Rios.
Her family will receive friends Monday, 4 to 8 p.m. in The House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Ave, Lorain. Where Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the church. Rev, Mark Hebebrand, Associate Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
