Rosali Ortiz, 69, Founding Member of Puerto Rican Home

He was born July 23, 1939 in Coamo, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain in 1956. Mr. Ortiz managed the Puerto Rican Home in Lorain for many years. He also worked at the Ford Brookpark Engine Plant.
He was a founding member of the Puerto Rican Home. He enjoyed playing dominos. He sang with his brother Raul’s Jibarto Music group.
Among the survivors are his son Roberto Ortiz of Lorain; daughter Tessi Ortiz of Lorain; brothers Angel Luis, Elizer, Raul Ortiz all of Lorain, Antonio Ortiz of Coamo and Luis Angel of Richmond, Virginia; sisters Gladys and Raquel Ortiz both of Coamo and Miriam of Cleveland; 2 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by parents Antonio and Teotista (nee Gonzalez) Ortiz.
His family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164. Rev. Willy Nieves will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
The family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, Lorain Ohio 44055 to help offset funeral expenses.
