Linda S. Nightengale, 66, Enjoyed Needlepoint and Music

She was born May 23, 1942 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She graduated from German Township High School in 1960. She has lived in Vermilion since 1973.
She worked as a cashier for Convenient, Vermilion and had also worked at IGA, Ben Franklin and Fisher Big Wheel. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Vermilion. She was a member of the Madeline Chapter of Eastern Stars #204 and was past Worthy Matron in 2000. She was a member and past vice president of the Democratic Women’s Club. She enjoyed cross stitch, needlepoint, music and books on tape.
Survivors include her children, William "Bill" and his wife, Michele, Nehls, Jr. of Vermilion, Linda and her husband, Rich, Osberg of Lorain; and Jeffrey "Jeff" and his wife, Sherry, Nehls of Vermilion; sister, Lois Smith and 2 nieces, Cyndee Duncan and Bernadette "Chip" Rumsey all of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and 5 grandchildren, Samantha, William, Erin, Lauren and Alycia; and her stepson, Scott and his wife, Tami, Nightengale.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Harold and Elsie (nee Christopher) Crago.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of an Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday at 11 a.m. Reverend Joan E. Skelley-Watts will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
