Margaret K. Cico, 90, Enjoyed Gardening & Sewing
Margaret K. Cico (nee Golobich), age 90, of Lorain, died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Main Street Health Center in Avon Lake following a brief illness.
She was born in Lorain, Ohio on May 23rd, 1918 and remained a life-long resident of the city.
Mrs. Cico was a parishioner of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church whose hobbies included gardening, sewing, crocheting, and cooking.
Survivors include sons Stephen L. Cico (wife Carol) of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Gary S. Cico of Lorain, daughter Marilyn Havas (husband William) of Sheffield Village, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, along with her sister Anne Barnhart of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steve in 2004, by her parents Joseph and Clara Golobich, by brothers Michael and Vincent, and by sisters Zora Penzes, and Mary Nemeth.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 22nd from 5 – 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv., Pastor of Saint Anthony Church presiding. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
